Research Data Alliance US
Director of Community Development
I serve as Director of Community Development for the Research Data Alliance US. My 25+ year career includes a wide range of management positions serving as project manager, departmental manager/director, and executive/officer at a variety of organizational types including Industry, non-profit professional associations, and academic institutions. I was introduced to the FORCE11 when I joined Phil Bourne's Lab at the University of California, San Diego.  As a member of the team, I was assigned to manage several projects including managing a Sloan grant to organize the FORCE11 into a non-profit organization following the BTPDF2. Since that time, as an employee of UCSD, I served as Executive Director of the UCSD FAIR Data Informatics Lab, as Executive Director of FORCE11, and was part of the start of and then project lead for the FORCE11 Scholarly Communications Institute (FSCI) from 2017 to 2020.  In late 2020, I joined the Research Data Alliance.
